littlechicka, I would adore for us to actually have a good talk on how we could wake our respective fellow citizens up from their respective slumber on many issues. I like the way you burn for things. Let us try to burn for the awakening of others. I rather have a good and heated debate with some one then see any one waking uo to late and find them selves occupied and suppressed. Tanks for your last comment at "you know where". Greetings to your husband by the way, and please tell him that Europe is still the same place of vast differences yet a place where we try to go along with each others and aim for a unifying future. I would love to hear of you two having a trip over here to see some of our wondrous places that are here. And I am looking so much forward to go back to America and visit my aunts, uncles and cousins, just awaiting for a president that might be able to change the way we Europeans are received when we get there.
Until later, best regards..LR.
Hi there and thank you Littlechica911 for taken the time back at my column, entering here and stating your thoughts. But I really do have some news for you. I am from Sweden and you could never even start to compare our societies. Lets start at the common knowledge department. You could (and here I dare you) enter any high school in Sweden and ask most of those students if they could name a high number of different Capitals in the world and attach those Capitals to their respective Nation and I swear that 80% of those kids if not even a higher percentage would in fact shock the hell out of your mind with their level of knowledge and education. Lets then take health care. yes it IS free. and for real. I should know, I have had several operations during my life time and I never had to pay other then my tax. And my daughter is "signed in as client" at Astrid Lindgrens barn sjukhus which is Internationally considered the one of them absolutely best children's hospitals in the world (and we only pay a cheap entrance fee anytime we need to visit there. Now let us go to this "Swedish politician" you were mentioning earlier. Kind of funny that you would chose to bring up her name with anything criticizing Sweden for not being "equal enough". Sure, like any other place on this planet we too have our ups and downs. but hey, you are quoting one (who formerly used to be but took stand against it latter on) our highest political feminist activists and then turned to be the leader of what you Americans definitely would consider to be a red crazy communist for the far left party called "Vänster partiet" (which in fact means "the left party") That would then be the same party that thought the Americans better off if they had their own communist revolution and the only Swedish party to ever embrace and give praise to such a leader as the former General Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party and thus also the leader of the Soviet Union, Leonid Brezhnev. So if that woman opposed the idea that we in Sweden are equal to a very high degree, well, she opposed most things that didn't fall into her far left way of thinking and I really do not value her as one of our more revered political giants at all. so therefor I ask you, any other names?
But hey, good try and as already stated, nice of you to pass on by, please feel welcome to come back.
